Felt Hairclips for Craft Show
I've been stitching like crazy for a craft show I'm doing locally on Friday. I have no idea how busy the show will be, but I know we have some talented sellers! I've decided that I can't control whether or not people decide to buy, but I can make a cute pile of stuff, so that is what I've focused on.
Above is a detail of a mushroom hairclip.
I made some cupcake versions:
Gnomes:
I did some little embroidered snowflakes on these:
Here are some elephants:
Little Red Riding Hood:
and some more boy and girl doggies:
I also wanted to do monkeys, flowers, and a little kitty, but I am exhausted and I think this is enough for now. I also have a pile of fabric pouches, a few felted sweater totes with felt applique, and a stack of lovely crochet flower pins including some festive pointsettias.
A few of my hairclip designs are available at my Etsy shop. I also accept some special orders of things I have photographed but not actually gotten around to listing in the shop. Just email me or send me an Etsy convo and I'll see if I can send you that item.
If you are in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, come to our Grayslake Holiday Boutique. We'll have 2 sessions on Friday, December 5: 11-2 and 5-9. I'll be set up at both sessions. Free refreshments! I'm baking a variety of brownies too!

I'm having a love affair with your little elephants and am sad I don't live in the Chicago area!
I also love your little hairclips, especially the gnomes. Adorable. Best wishes for a successful show.
Very cute! I must say the elephants are my favorite!!

I found you thru the Creative Blog site.

Y'all are as sweet as can be! Thanks for the encouragement! I do have an etsy shop. It is on my blog sidebar. Most of this stuff isn't listed, but after my craft show tomorrow, I hope to list this and that more often.

i think those are beyond cute. i wouldn't have the patience at all to finish them.
what i'm REALLY obsessed with is, the little crocheted fabric you pictured them on!
i haven't seen it before (i'm assuming it's crocheted) but i have to know what it is. i have the urge to make it immediately.
=)
Thanks roflberrie! People often notice that blanket in my photographs. It is an epic crochet project that I love, but I might never finish. It is a random stripe blanket like this one:

I'm doing mine in Sugar and Cream or Peaches and Cream cotton yarn (which may have been a bad choice but it is too late to change my mind now).
People will surely love your hair clips, it's so adorable and colorful! I love its unique style. You are such a talented lady. Congratz!
Those are fabo! Don't suppose you'd know what little cutting device makes the little fabric cover you see on hair clips these days? Been trying to figure out for ages how to make some for my daughter... but flummoxed. Thanks Tab

Anon- I don't know what hair clip covers you are referring to. Lots of handmade covers are just cut with scissors. I use the die cutter because getting 2 matching circles is tricky. Other shapes are easier.
